General Plan

Get a dozen of eggs and get a cup of water.
Add a spoon full of salt in the cup and repeating the salt until the egg floats.

Potential Problems And Solutions

The egg not floating or the egg floating with out salt because it might be cracked.

Boiling the egg in hot water and being careful around the hot water.

Background Research

Density and Floating
When you place something into the water the same volume of water is pushed up. One of the most uses of density is how different objects interact. A piece of plastic would float because it has lower destiny. A piece of metal of metal would sink because it has higher density. A specific gravity less than1 will float more than 1 will sink.

step1 put a 200ml load of water in a measuring cup
step2 put an egg in the water then put a table spoon of salt on table spoon at a time

Data Analysis

The egg is not floating the first time the second time it almost floated the third time it floated all the way.

Conclusion

I think the egg will float when it gets enough salt. No the graph doesn't look good at the beginning its goes down then up a little the up a lot.

Discussion

I might have measured It wrong or broken an egg. I could be more careful and watch how I measure.
I could pay more attention to what I do.

People could try this experiment to have fun or if they are bored.
If people have an experiment on this they could use this as an example.

Abstract

The reason why I did this experiment because I wanted to see if an egg will float in salt water. What

I did is put a one table spoon of salt at a time until it float. If the egg gets enough salt it will float . If it floats without salt it may have a crack in it because how i found out is i put the egg in the water and I was getting the salt ready the egg was automatically floating so I checked and it had a crack in it. It took 2 tables spoon of salt to float the egg.
